The hypothesis behind the theory does not comply with basic chemical concepts of speed of chemical reactions (reaction kinetics) which happens in time and space and not arbitrary ratios

It is difficult to calculate

Despite it's usefulness few roast logger softwares provides this calculation so in reality it can't be used by roast masters on a daily basis

The claim that at certain DTR creates a 'balanced' roast make the theory weak because 'balance' is a consumer concept (=opinion driven) and therefore can't give the theory universal validity
